Up- / Download SAP Transports

In the Cirrus SAP Cloud Computing Solution (CSCCS), the user is not able to transport the transport requests directly from his own SAP system into the SAP cloud system. Instead, the transport requests must be moved manually using frontend computer files as intermediate between the SAP systems. With the SAP Cloud Transport Management Tool, SAP transport requests can be downloaded or uploaded simply by mouse clicks.

Access to the Operating System

When using the Cirrus SAP Cloud Computing services, it may be a requirement to access the Cloud Platforms at the Linux Operating System level (e.g. if using the blank template to install a SAP System manually; updating the DB or the SAP Kernel, etc. on a installed SAP Cloud System). With the OS Access you have the full administrator rights to configure your SAP system as a normal SAP administrator.

It is possible to establish an encrypted Virtual Network Computing (VNC) connection using SSH. (The VNC connection is the X11 Emulator, required for many SAP OS Tools.) To achieve this you have to initiate a SSH connection and then setup a VNC session through this SSH connection; i.e. the VNC session is “tunneled” through the SSH connection.

The SSH connection must be specifically configured to facilitate this for example with Putty (http://www.putty.org/). You can use the PuTTY (SSH client tool) also for an SSH connection to the operating system.
