When I use the link in the mail to go to the logon of the sap system nothing happens. Also saving the link and then trying to open it doesn't work. Can you tell me what should happen with this link and maybe if there's a different approach to access the system.
The link "Start SAP GUI" starts the SAP GUI installed on your client.
If the link doesn't work you can configure your SAPgui locally.
The best way to do this is to use the saplogon.exe (SAP Logon 720) program. Start the program and configure it with the following parameters for your installation.
1. Choose “Connections” and press the new symbol on the top
2. At the first screen on the wizard just press the “Next >” button
3. Now give your system a description and enter the following parameters
4. Then press “Finish”
Now you should be able to connect to your system with the SAPgui. Use the user SAP* and the password provided on your Management Interface for your first logon.
I tried to use your SAP IDES, but there is no data. What is wrong? Please make sure you work on client 800 - not on client 001 (default value).
If a platform has been removed, can it be recovered?
No. All the data and even the backups will be deleted definitely and irretrievably with the operation (action) “remove platform".
Can you get access to the operating system and the database level?
Yes, but first you have to create a support request on the Management Interface to ask for access. Permission to access is then activated. A detailed documentation for registered customers is available at the library in the Management Interface.
Can I access the platform through SAProuter?
Yes, simply open the platform in the Management Interface edit the configuation section with the SAProuter-string. More information about this subject is available at the library in the Management Interface for registered customers.
Help! The RFC connection to the SAP system cannot be established. Problem: IP address conversion with a firewall.
When an RFC connection is being established, the client already attempts to determine the IP address of the target and sends this IP address to the gateway which manages the connection. With the IP address, the gateway then establishes the connection to the actual target.
If there is a firewall between the client and the gateway which converts the external IP addresses into internal addresses, the gateway receives an invalid external IP address and, as a result, cannot establish a connection to the actual target.
The problem described here also occurs if a BEx Analyzer is started from transaction RRMX and NAT is used.
The following entry then appears in the dev_rfc trace file:
T:3560 ======> Connect from SAP gateway to RFC server failed
Connect_PM GWHOST=X.X.X.X, GWSERV=sapgw00,
ASHOST=X.X.X.X, SYSNR=00
LOCATION SAP Gateway on host hostname/sapgw00
ERROR partner not reached (host X.X.X.X, service sapgw00)
Try this approach / solution:
The gateway host and the actual target are usually identical. In this case, you can use parameter gw/alternative_hostnames to indicate to the gateway that the external IP address received identifies the host.
Caution: gw/alternative_hostnames may only be set in the instance profile and under no circumstances in the DEFAULT.PFL!!!
Is it normal, that the first login into the SAP system takes so long?
This is a well known phenomenon with SAP, because at the first login a lot of elements have not yet been transferred to the memory. From the second login it works as usual.
Can I change / replace the actual currency on the bill by another currency?
US$, EUR and CHF are available. To change the currency the organisation’s representative has to replace it on the Management Interface in “my organisations”.
Is it possible to display not just US$ but also other currencies in the section „Accounting“?
At present this is not possible.
Is there a possibility that I don’t see all my platforms on the display?
The portlet shows only 10 platforms per page. Down to the right is the button to turn pages.
The password I was sent doesn’t work. What could be wrong?
When you copy&paste passwords it is possible that preceding or following blank spaces get in the clipboard, which can result in a password rejection. Please retry by typing the password manually.
What could be the problem if in the SAP-system started BSPs will not appear in the browser window?
An action in the Cirrus SAP Cloud Computing Management Interface produced an error. What can I do?
With any failure situation a problem request is generated automatically and you will be informed by email about the further steps.
Even though I activated “remember my Logon”, I always have to enter my username and password. Why?
Logon credentials are only valid for one session, after a “Sign out” these informations expire. Saving of username and password by the browser is not supported by the Management Interface.
Together with my colleague we are trying to “remove” old platforms but the confirmation link doesn’t work. Why not?
E-mailing programs tend to open links in the already active browser window. Therefore it can happen that you are already logged in on the window that is opening by clicking the link, though with your colleague’s user. Please work only with one user at the time.
